Shirt sizes from ceesnco

First of all, you have a choice between two fits, slim fit and regular fit:

Slim fit shirt

A slim fit shirt has a fitted, tight fit and is meant for the slimmer man. It is taken in around the waist and fits more closely to your body. This gives a youthful, smooth look.

Regular fit shirt

A regular fit shirt has a very slightly tailored fit with enough room to move for the somewhat sturdier man. This provides a smooth, groomed look. Our regular fit shirts have a classic cut, making them very comfortable to wear and always fit well. It is the most common fit that suits every outfit.

The next step is to determine the right size. There are different sizes for the collar, bust, waist and sleeve length. You can measure these yourself with a tape measure.

What size do I need?

A good shirt starts with the right size. Not too wide, not too tight, but just right. It’s all about the details: the collar that fits nicely, sleeves that are just long enough, and a fit that follows your body without pinching. In choosing the perfect shirt, there are four sizes that really make the difference: the collar size, your waist, chest size and sleeve length.

The collar size of a shirt

A correct collar size is a prerequisite for a nicely fitting shirt. Too tight is not comfortable and the wide looks slouchy. If you don’t know your collar size, you can measure it with a tape measure.

Measure your neck at the base, where the collar begins. Make sure you have enough room so you can still swallow. Or measure the collar size of a shirt you know will fit. Measure from the center of the button to the end of the buttonhole.

The chest size

A good chest size ensures that your shirt is not too wide or too tight. Measure your chest size, just under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest. Some freedom of movement is recommended, so measure with a finger between the measuring tape and your chest.

An example: the size chart says M 98-103. So if your chest size falls between 98-103, then your size is an M.

The waist

Especially for slim fit shirts, measuring your waist is important. The shirts are slim fit, but should not pinch. Our regular fit shirts are very slightly fitted. The waist is only five cm narrower than the chest size, so it does not listen so closely.

To choose the right size slim fit, however, it is very important to measure your waist accurately. Measure with a finger between the measuring tape and the widest part of your waist (often this is at the height of your navel). An example: in the size chart, size M says 84-88. If your waist size falls between 84 and 88, your size is an M.

Sleeve length of shirt

The sleeve length, which is the same in both slim fit and regular fit, is always slightly longer than your arm, because you need to keep some room for movement. Your sleeve length is measured from the tip of your shoulder (shoulder bone) over your elbow, to one inch beyond the wrist bone.

Keep your arm slightly bent while measuring (an angle of about thirty degrees). And especially for the slightly longer arm, there is sleeve length 7, in all sizes.

Our shirt size chart

To make choosing the right size as easy as possible, we have put together a convenient size chart. Here you will find all the important measurements of our shirts, both in regular fit and slim fit. Think of the collar size, chest size, waist and sleeve length per size. So you can see at a glance what suits your figure best. Whether you opt for a more classic fit or a slimmer model, with our size chart you’ll choose with confidence.
